I know the medical system and the attitudes of many of those there in and my projection is that the decision to implement MAID to patients will be taken away from patients or their families will be decided on their behalf by the system and health care professionals willing to do it. Excuses like "you are too emotionally connected to the patient to make a rational decision". Along with the holier-than-thou doctors and nurses are many in the Canadian public who will also support this. Unchecked this will progress to the point that family members who do not submit to murdering their family will be considered cruel similar to people who are cruel to animals."
